How to approach a viewing

The search for accommodation can be a stressful time for all students. I know how it feels. There are many things to keep in mind while searching for a place to stay, without even mentioning all the options that are out there (bills included or sort your own, shared living spaces, en-suite or shared bathroom and location amongst others).

Make sure you do your research and take things slowly. It’s your chance to make an informed decision and avoid paying to live in a place you regret choosing.

Once you determine your weekly rental budget, you should take time to think about what you’re looking for as an individual or as a group. Research the area! What do you need in terms of location, appliances, services, and agreements?

Check out our properties now to help you make your decision about where to live your best student life! We offer both virtual and on-site viewings. Don’t forget to check out the photos, 360 virtual tours, and aerial viewpoints of the accommodation we have available on our website.

You can rent a student studio or flat for more independent living or find a room in a shared house with a group of people. We offer group bookings and dual occupancy as well!

Some of our halls of residence in Leicester are The Summit, Upperton Road, Regents Court, Queens Court, Brookland Road, Eastern Boulevard, London Road, and Newarke Street.

Browse our properties and read through our take on how to find the right student accommodation for you! Our properties offer high-quality student living located within a walking distance from De Montfort University and the University of Leicester.

Check out the Tenants Handbook to find out more about maintenance, repairs, inspections, common problems, and regulations around your accommodation.

Don’t forget, to secure the best student accommodation, you have to book viewings early! The best rooms always fill quickly so don’t miss out.

How to book your viewing:

  • Choose your preferences on our website
  • Select a house or student halls and click on ‘Arrange a viewing’
  • Fill in your details in the form and select your university and preferred date and time
  • Press ‘send’ and a member of our team will contact you to arrange a date & time for a viewing

Don’t rush during any of your viewings. Take your time to look around, bring someone with you, ask all the questions you want, take pictures and notes, and get a feel for each place.

Download the free House Viewing Checklist from Save the Student to rate and compare every property.
