The Sulets service is the marketing, letting and management of accommodation for students studying at University of Leicester and De Montfort University. To deliver that service we have a team of committed professionals who have the skills, knowledge and expertise required to ensure our tenants and landlords are well looked after.

Our property management team keeps landlords up to date with relevant legislation and ensures standards of safety, security and cleanliness are met. Our sales team provide our student tenants with appropriate accommodation options and give them the chance to ask questions and check details in a non-pressurised way, with honesty and clarity.

 

Irving Hill

CEO

Irving has been at Sulets since the beginning in 2009, when he was instrumental in setting up DSU Lettings. He steered the development of that organisation through to the launch of the Sulets brand in 2012. This evolution gave the business a platform for further growth across both Leicester Universities. He has over 25 years in the Higher and Further education sectors and was a senior manager at De Montfort Student Union for many years. MBA qualified, Irving loves travelling, time with his family, technology and pinball machines!


Emma Fox

Operations Manager

Emma joined Sulets in January 2017. She has worked in housing since 1998, first in social housing and then, from 2008, in student accommodation, primarily at the University of Hull. She has also been a consultant for Unipol, helping them to accredit houses that they took into their portfolio. She was also Chair at Doorstep of Hull (a homeless charity) until recently. Emma graduated from De Montfort University in 2013 with a Professional Diploma in Housing and Sustainable Communities. She has also been a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Chartered Member since 2013 and an Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS) from 2017.


David Holmes

Digital Marketing Manager

David joined Sulets in November 2020. He is responsible for all marketing activity both digital & offline. He has worked in digital marketing for over 10 years in various industries. David is an honours graduate from Sheffield Hallam University and has completed The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing. He is also an Associate (ACIM) Member of the CIM. Outside of work he is a big sports fan, supporting Liverpool FC and is a keen cricketer and skier.


Jake Lewis

Sales Manager

Jake has worked at Sulets since 2018 and has over 10 years sales experience from previous roles. He began as a Lettings Negotiator and has progressed to Sales Manager during his 5 years at Sulets. Jake has two young daughters and spends his free time getting bossed around by a 5 and 7 year old. He is a passionate Coventry City supporter and regularly attends games.


Charlotte Prior

Senior Property Management Officer

Charlotte started at Sulets in September 2013. Having started in the student accommodation sector in 2011. She has immense experience and knowledge that is applied to serving both our student tenants and property owning landlords. She has achieved the ARLA Propertymark Technical Award in Residential Lettings & Property Management. She loves cake and chocolate and taking her dog Bruce for walks.


Joshua Findlay

Property Management Officer

Joshua joined Sulets in April 2022, having previously worked as a Project Manager for a construction firm and as a Lettings Negotiator.  He is qualified with an ARLA Propertymark Technical Award in Residential Lettings & Property Management. He applies his experience and knowledge in his role to ensure he can best assist our landlords and our student tenants. Outside of work, he likes wild camping, rock climbing and spending time with his family and two Corgis.


Tsitsi Nyathi

Property Management Officer

Tsitsi joined Sulets in June 2022, Having worked in the accommodation sector since 2020 for a charitable organisation. She is looking forward to finishing her ARLA Propertymark Technical Award in Residential Lettings & Property Management. Outside of work she likes spending time with her family and friends.


Emma Godsell

Property Management Officer

Emma has been a part of the Sulets team since 2018. She started off in property lettings, helping students find their perfect home away from home. In July 2023, she was promoted to become a Property Management Officer, where she now works closely with our tenants to ensure their living experience is nothing short of fantastic. When she’s not busy at work, you can usually find her out and about walking her dog, Lily.


Sabera Kharodia

Finance Manager

Sabera started with Sulets in 2013. She is a qualified (up to AAT level 3) and experienced finance professional. Bringing several years of accounting, finance and business know how to her role at Sulets. Outside of work Sabera enjoys spending time with family and friends, eating out, going to the cinema, walking daily, yoga and reading.


Carrie Whiting

Credit Control / Finance

Carrie joined Sulets at the start of 2020. Her previous experience includes 5 years credit control and 4 years office administration. She is a mum of three football mad boys and usually spends her weekends on the side of a football pitch. She has a ‘crazy’ dog called Ted and enjoys taking him out for walks. Family time, including holidays and camping, is important to Carrie but apparently nothing compares to her first cup of coffee in the morning!


Fatimah Riaz

Credit Controller

Fatimah has worked with Sulets since 2015 and brings over 15 years of experience working in finance, working in many different industries including aggregates, retail and pensions. Fatimah is a mum to 3 children, who keep her busy outside of work. In her spare time she enjoys eating out and retail therapy whilst trying to keep her children entertained with various activities.
