How to find the right student accommodation for you

There are a lot of things students need to get sorted when it comes to starting university life. A very important decision is where you will choose to live. There are so many options out there and that can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming.

Here’s what you probably don’t expect at a first sight from the hunt for your perfect student accommodation. To secure the best student accommodation, you have to research and book viewings early. If you don’t, then know that someone else will. And the ones who strike in advance get the best choice of rooms.

If you are moving away from home for the first time, be careful where and with whom you decide to share your space. Maybe you’re starting university next year or you’re a student already. You might know some people around the campus or you barely know anyone in your lectures. You want your university and student living experience to go as smoothly as possible.

There are a few things you need to know about to ensure you’re getting good value for money in this competitive market.

You can rent a student studio for more idependent living or find a room in a shared house with a group of uni mates. Student living is good way of meeting new people or moving in with your friends. Either way, we are all searching for that homely feeling whilst at uni.

Halls of residence are readily available in Leicester. This accommodation is purpose-built for students and is in close proximity to your campus. You get modern facilities, social spaces, gyms and can make lots of friends. Halls often come with all bills included, so there are no extra costs to worry about. Who doesn’t want a life free of worries about unexpected bills?

Everything starts from your private bedroom. Do you want an en-suite bathroom or would you not mind sharing it? What about the kitchen? A studio, flat, or house?

An en-suite room in a shared apartment can offer the best of both worlds. You get a private space and can share the communal areas such as the kitchen and the lounges where you can socialise with people.

If you are looking for more privacy, studios are the way to go! Studios allow you to take charge of your entire living space and properly throw yourself into university life.

Don’t forget to check the photos, and 360 virtual tours of the student halls we have on our website. Our halls of residence in Leicester are The Summit, Upperton Road, Regents Court, Queens Court, Brookland Road, Eastern Boulevard, London Road, and Newarke Street
