We are only a few months away from the end of the year. Great, right? All your hard work is about to pay off. I’m sure you’re feeling tired. We all do. The academic year is a marathon not a sprint. Luckily for you, you’re on the last mile.

It’s important not to lose sight of the finish line. It’s one last push and here are ways to give you the last burst of energy you need.

One of the most important things to remember is that you’re allowed to take a break. You’ll no doubt have many assignments or exams coming up and it’ll feel as though you need to work every living moment. You don’t. In fact, it’s important you don’t. Taking a minute to re-gather your mind and refresh is crucial. Even if you have left your work until the last minute – don’t worry, we’ve all been there – you should always take a break when you’re tired.

There are many ways you can take a break. Going on a walk is one way. Spending some much-needed downtime with your friends is another. There are many activities you can do either with your friends or on your own to help you with a well-deserved rest.

A change of scenery while doing your assignments is another great way. There are plenty of coffee shops around for you to do your work in and give you a new lease of life. It’s never healthy staring at the same four walls for hours on end.

Make sure that you and your friends encourage each other throughout. Whether that’s checking in on them, doing your work together or making a schedule to make sure you keep the balance, remember that you are all in the same boat.

Whatever happens, remember you have support. You have support with your assignments, and you also have support with your student accommodation.
