Layer up with your favourite hat, scarf, and your comfortable and warm winter boots as you prepare to explore Leicester over the holiday season! If like some students you choose to stay in Leicester over the Christmas break but are unsure of what the city has to offer you – we’ve got you covered!
This year, Leicester offers holiday events together with an amazing Festive Adventure route that highlights the finest of the city.
Whether you’re staying in the city by choice or circumstance, our team will spread holiday happiness to all of our Sulets tenants allowing you to enjoy this season to the fullest. There is a lot to look forward to! You can still get in the holiday spirit and make the end of the term as pleasurable as possible.
Talk to your flatmates and your friends who will be in the city as well. Decorate your student accommodation and celebrate together! You could have a party at your place where you could even meet new people! Don’t forget, you can always keep the decorations for next year to avoid having to pay for them again.
There are endless reasons why Leicester and Leicestershire are the ideal locations for your celebrations. With so many attractions, everyone will find something to do here, regardless of the budget. The streets are illuminated with over 16.000 lights, the giant sparkling reindeer is situated in St Peter’s Square, and a massive genuine tree is displayed at the Clock Tower. Leicester provides a beautiful setting for holiday pictures.
From 11th November until January 2nd, the Wheel of Light (£7) will bring even more enjoyment to Leicester’s holiday season. From 1st December to January 2nd, Jubilee Square Ice Rink (from £5) is back with its clear roof where skaters can demonstrate their great tricks. The rink will be open on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day as well, you could make these occasions particularly memorable.
Hot cocoa crawls or pub crawls? Whatever sparks your fire, go out there and have fun! I’ll take the marshmallow-lined path to some of my favourite places like Bread & Honey, Cocoa Amore, and Saints of Mokha for some red velvet hot chocolate and a cruffin. Don’t forget to look into the cinema’s around you for some festive screenings!
Check out other activities that are taking place in Leicester during this season!
Happy Christmas!
