Knighton and Knighton Village are remnant of the Victorian industrial era. There are large houses that surround the village which breaks up the conservation area. Knighton is home to Knighton Manor House and Park, the grounds of these are owned by the University of Leicester. The manor used to be owned by the Cradock family, this name is immortalized in Knighton with the local pub being named ‘Cradock Arms’. Knighton is only a stone’s throw away from Clarendon Park so shares a radius for services and places to eat out.
