Moving into your Sulets student house
We hope you are looking forward to moving into your new Sulets student house, but before you do there are a few things worth bearing in mind over the summer to help ensure the process is hassle free.

Moving in
Sulets will be in touch with all tenants to confirm arrangements on key collections.
Please remember that access to the property will not be permitted until all tenants named in the tenancy agreement have paid their deposit plus the first instalment of rent due in full. Please also bring valid photo ID when collecting keys.
Please make sure all deposits and first instalments of rent have been paid before you book a key collection appointment. If any payments have not been made, bookings will be cancelled and you will need to reschedule once payments have been cleared.
If you have not already, we encourage all tenants to download the StuRents App to manage your tenancy.
Bills
For houses where bills are not included, the summer period is a good time for you to setup your utility bills. We strongly recommend that all tenants are named on all bills to ensure you are all held jointly responsible for your usage. We recommend using The Student Energy Group for all inclusive bills packages.
You will need a TV Licence (if not specified in your tenancy agreement that this is provided) and you will also need to get confirmation of your student status to send to Leicester City Council to be exempt from Council Tax. You will be able to do this when you register at university.

Welcome pack
Each tenant will receive a digital welcome pack when keys are collected. Copies of the following are available on your StuRents portal and App.
- The Gas Safety Certificate
- Energy Performance Certificate
- Electrical Installation Condition Report
- Sulets Student Handbook.
