Sulets win National Student Housing Survey Quality Award

NSHS-IAQMSulets are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the National Student Housing Survey Quality Mark for International Accommodation.  The kite mark is awarded to a select group of institutions and private hall providers who achieve greater than 90% satisfaction amongst international students.

The National Student Housing Survey (NSHS) is an annual survey of students in higher education across the UK. The survey, running since 2007, measures satisfaction levels in all types of accommodation and allows participating institutions to measure their performance against national and regional benchmarks. The 2016 survey attracted more than 33,000 responses from more than 200 universities and colleges across the UK.

Sulets CEO Irving Hill commented:
“We are extremely happy to be recognized for the quality of the accommodation we offer across Leicester, undoubtedly this is positive for our Universities, Students’ Unions, Landlords and most importantly the Students.”

Students’ Union Letting Charity, Sulets accredited with Investors in People Award (IIP)

Sulets is a lettings agency jointly owned and run by the Students’ Unions of DMU and Leicester University. With an office based at each campus, Sulets is the number 1 site for De Montfort University and University of Leicester students looking for private rented accommodation in Leicester.

Sulets was accredited with the Investors in People award on 23rd March 2016. They have joined a community of 14,000 other companies and currently Sulets are the only lettings company in Leicester to have this standard.

Lisa Toohey from IIP who was part of the assessment said “From quite humble beginnings, you have developed the organisation into a successful and expanding business, based on ethical values and principles. Indeed, to “set ourselves apart from other lettings agencies by being ethical and decent” is something everyone is 100% committed to as well as delivering a high quality service for your students.”

Irving Hill, CEO of Sulets said, “There is no other lettings operation in Leicestershire that has this standard and it is testament to the hard work of the team that we are doing as well as we are and it’s great to have this officially recognised.”

The perfect home for you…

SULETS is delighted to announce that, following the sale of Eastern Boulevard Apartments and Upperton Road Apartments (formerly owned by CODE), we are now working with Derwent Students to manage and market these beautiful, contemporary flats and studios. More than just a home, these sites offer superb on site facilities – including study rooms, social space and a gym.

Both sites are just a few minutes walk from DMU campus, and serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the University of Leicester. We expect these flats to generate lots of interest, following increasing demand from students for high quality, en-suite and studio accommodation within a few minutes of campus.

If you’d like to be the first to know when we have full information, or find out more about these sites, please get in touch (click here), and we will contact you as soon as possible.

More Choice For You

We’ve now got even more choice for students at De Montfort University and the University of Leicester!

We are delighted to announce that our offer for you has expanded with two brand new purpose built student accommodation sites. Avenue Capital Student Real Estate, owners of The Summit, have purchased the sites formerly known as Abode on Newarke Street and Brookland Road to add to the portfolio.

Brookland and Newarke

Working alongside Derwent Students, who will be the on site facilities and management team, SULETS are now marketing these contemporary flats for 2015/16, and we expect these flats to generate lots of interest, following demand from students for higher quality, en-suite accommodation close to both campuses.

Perfect for DMU students, the Newarke Street property has capacity for 284 students, in a mix of studio apartments if you want to live on your own, and flats for between two and six people if you’d like to share – all en-suite. Right on the edge of campus, and just a two minute walk from the Hugh Aston and Clephan buildings, this new site offers convenience without compromising on style. Studio

Brookland Road, located just off Welford Road, is the only purpose built site within a ten minute walk of the University of Leicester, with 255 bedrooms across a variety of studios and contemporary flats, and is perfect for students looking for an all inclusive rent and high spec finish.

Bookings for viewings for 2015/16 are being taken now on studios and two – six bedroom flats, so contact SULETS ASAP to arrange a convenient time.

With just five days to go until SULETS’ 2015/16 housing list goes live, here are five reasons to choose your next home with us:
