Launched in September 2011, SULETs is a joint venture between DSU and LUSU, combining the lettings agencies previously known as DSU Lettings and Leicester Abode.

No other lettings agency can offer you this level of marketing for your property.
Students trust us to provide quality services to them so our lettings service will be a natural place for them to search for their next house. In a recent survey of over 570 students, over 94% said they were either ‘likely’ or ‘very likely’ to use our service. When asked, “Do you think the service will be professional” over 97% either ‘agreed’ or ‘strongly agreed’ with the statement.
SULETS is backed by two organisations with real financial and business strength. DSU runs bars, shops, catering outlets, a nightclub as well as delivering numerous non-commercial activities. DSU holds awards quality marks from the Legal Services Commission, Investors in People and SUEI. University of Leicester Students’ Union runs bars, shops, catering outlets as well as the 02 Academy in a state of the art building that has jsut had a £15 Million refit. No other letting agent in Leicester can compete with the financial clout and marketing capabilities that we have.
In line with industry best practice, your rent is held in a separate client account and the agency is protected by professional indemnity insurance. Your deposits are protected by the DPS.
We collect your rent termly from students and unlike some agencies we immediately pay you the full rent collected minus our fees. We don’t hold on to the termly rent and release it monthly. We don’t need your rent to pay our wage bill and we never forget whose money it is. Your money and property is safe with us.
We believe that we should only charge you for work we actually do so unlike other agencies we do not charge any repeat fees on ‘Tenant Find Only’ tenancies when the same tenants continue with you for a second or subsequent years.

and we won’t charge you extra for what some agencies call additional services:
• No extra fees charged for general repairs on managed houses. The price you pay is the price we pay.
• Registering your deposit with the DPS at no extra charge
• No renewal fees on Let Only Tenancies when the same tenants continue in the house for the second year.
• Essential Services, e.g. EPCs, Gas Safety checks etc strictly charged at cost, e.g. EPCs for £45 (the cheapest in
Leicester). The price you pay is the price we pay.
